Saudi Arabian Job Blogs

  • Having work experience is key to finding a job
The time that you get off while at university is valuable, so don’t waste it on relaxing and spending 3 months sleeping. It is the time to be looking for internships, part-time jobs, or even full-time jobs. It will make a difference on your resume, and help differentiate you from the other applicants that might have no experience. With the competition out there nowadays, employers are looking for a minimum standard of work experience.

  • Don’t set unrealistic expectations whilst looking for your first job
Whilst looking for a job, have an open mind. There are many ways to enter a profession. Having the drive to work your way up will eventually get you to where you want to be.

  • Finding your dream job isn’t going to happen right off the bat
If you’re a recent graduate or even a few years into the game, you can’t set expectations of becoming a CEO after only your third year of working. Most people have to start at the very bottom and work their way up. Thinking that you’re going into job-hunting with only a specific job in mind, you need to broaden your horizon and try out different experiences. Learning a few things from different jobs can teach you many things. Don’t be disheartened if your first job isn’t where you want to be. Work hard, stay focused and you will eventually be where you want to be.

  • Have a unique quality about you
Employers get hundreds of CV’s daily and if you don’t have at least one quality that helps you stick out from the crowd, then you’ve got to find it. Its extremely important to produce something different to get noticed. A different approach to an interview, a different quality about yourself that’s not very common, it could be the simplest of things. Once you’ve found it, market it to perfection.

  • Network, network, and network
Networking may seem like more of a chore than an enjoyable task. However, by maintaining good relationships with people you’ve met over your lifetime, whether it be school, university, a party, and even a networking event. It will lead to many doors being opened. It is also worth noting that if you do attend any networking events you should approach as many industry people as you can.
