Thinking of Changing Jobs?

Saudi Arabian Job Blogs

If you are actively looking for a job or not, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Don’t underestimate the power of social media – This is your first interaction with many recruiters, regardless if it is LinkedIn, Twitter, facebook etc. Keep your profiles up to date. LinkedIn especially is a tool the vast majority of recruiters and headhunters use so it is important to have the most up to date information available.
Sell yourself! – If you are lucky enough to get an out of the blue call, don’t forget to sell yourself. Mention your best attributes, skills and your greatest achievement to date. This is your chance to shine!
Always have your resume up to date – You should always have an updated copy, regardless of your job status. Many headhunting opportunities are for immediate positions and waiting to the weekend to update your CV may cost you an interview if the recruiter doesn’t think you are serious.
If you are currently happy where you are, refer! – This is a great two way tool for both candidates and recruiters. You may know someone better suited to the position, meaning that the recruiter gets a quality candidate. The recruiter in turn will always remember you, and will frequently come back to you on great opportunities for you. Remember, the headhunter/recruiter will always have positions to fill so even if you aren’t available at the moment; it is useful to keep their contact details for a time when you need it more.
